  • Smart energy management

The 25th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP25) took place from 2-13 December, 2019, in Madrid (Spain). This is the most important conference for tackling the global climate crisis since the Paris deal in 2015.

IREC staff took part in events at COP25 as speakers and chairs to provide discussion on electro-mobility and Smart Cities, both important aspects to reach the energy transition.

Cristina Corchero, head of the Energy System Analytics, discussed the opportunities of emerging e-mobility technologies during a session entitled “Moving with disruption: How to take advantage of e-mobility”. She is an expert in vehicle-grid integration and regulation, while she is leading this activity within the EV TCP in the International Energy Agency (IEA).
