What is PlemCat CALL FOR INTEREST all about?
- Accessing Mediterranean testing infrastructure for floating wind technologies components and systems.
- Testing from early-stage validation to full-scale offshore deployment in a real operational environment.
- Benefiting from grid connection monitoring data laboratory access and logistics coordination.
- Applying on a rolling basis with support from IREC and the PlemCat technical team.
PlemCat invites technology developers, manufacturers and research institutions to submit non-binding expressions of interest for potential future access to the platform’s offshore and onshore testing infrastructure.
The platform is designed to accommodate projects at any stage of development, from early-stage component testing (TRL 4) through to full-scale prototype deployment and pre-commercial validation (TRL 8).
With planned three available floating berths, a dedicated 66 kV grid connection, an environmental monitoring buoy and dedicated port logistics support, PlemCat is intended to offers a complete and fully operational testing environment.
No other comparable facility exists in the Mediterranean Sea based on the project information currently available to IREC.
The expression of interestcall is open on a rolling basis. Applicants are invited to submit an expression of interest at any time. Evaluation is carried out by the PlemCat technical committee in coordination with IREC and the relevant authorities.
Submitting an expression of interest does not constitute a call for tender, procurement procedure, selection process, reservation of capacity or right of access. It does not create any right to participate in PlemCat or to obtain any specific response, selection, allocation, contract, funding or future opportunity.
