SIGEEV is a R+D project funded by ACCIO (Nuclis – call 2022) that started this 2023 and will extend until March 2024.

The goal of this project is to increase and improve the energy efficiency of homes and buildings, specifically by improving the management of hot water heaters, that represent an important share of the energy use in our buildings.

The project has a total budget of ~170k€. The consortium is led by DEFCON8, and IREC is a partner. Two research groups at IREC are involved in SIGEEV: Thermal Energy and Building Performance and Power Systems. The coordinator from IREC side is Thibault Péan.
